What We Do

We write Teachers' Guides to novels and poetry anthologies. Our Teachers' Guides are unique because they give teachers EVERYTHING they need to simply pick up a book and start teaching it. Most importantly, our guides are directly aligned to the Common Core State Standards. They also incorporate best teaching practices while engaging students in literature. Check out our work under Sample Teachers' Guides!

What Teachers and Authors Say . . . .

I am a fifth grade teacher and I used your Lions of Little Rock guide last year . . .
I loved all the activities and content you had provided; I feel it really helped my students connect with book. --Nikki F.

I have always taught CHAINS to my 8th grade class, but once I found your guide for FORGE, I decided to change it up this year.  It was a refreshing change for me, and I think the boys in particular loved the military aspect of FORGE. -- Cristy P.

I have really enjoyed teaching SECRETS OF THE BOOK with my fifth grade students. . .  Because their enthusiasm was so high, I was able to teach many meaningful Common Core lessons that went along with the book. Students were able to answer questions that required them to think critically. They analyzed the characters in great depth, and learned what various tricks authors utilize in writing, such as foreshadowing and flashbacks.--Annie V., 5th grade teacher

I am . . . reading the printed out version of your teacher's guide for SUMMER OF THE WOLVES. I have had repeated episodes of goose bumps. . . The vocabulary and concepts (like freedom) sections are superb! . . . I love how you lead the readers to deeper levels and to forming their own ideas . . .—Polly Carlson-Voiles, author
